GOALS post-trip evaluations
An important opportunity for leaders to evaluate the students they worked with.
Dear GOALS leader -
An important last step in your role as a leader/guide of a GOALS river expedition is to evaluate the kids you worked with. Your honest reflections help us to make decisions in the future - as we accept or reject participants, balance group dynamics, etc.
Your evaluations are important, and so is your time. We’ve tried to make the process as simple and straight-forward as possible - it shouldn’t take long to evaluate an entire group. At the minimum, we ask that you provide a numeric representation for each of 5 categories presented under each participant. Additional space is provided if you need to expand, but you’re not required to.
Your responses will not be shared with the kids you’re evaluating. They may be shared with future leaders, and may also be used to assess whether a child is suited for particular expeditions, esp. those which require extended travel or explore rivers in other parts of the world.
