Thank you for your honest feedback. The responses you share below will help us to evaluate the work we’re doing through GOALS river programs - identifying areas where we’re making the positive impacts we aim to, as well as areas where GOALS can grow.

1. My river expedition made me feel CURIOUS.

I found myself wondering about things around me that drew my attention more than I typically might.

2. My river expedition made me feel COMFORTABLE IN THE WILDERNESS.

Being in wild places without cars, phones, or other conveniences feels less intimidating to me now.

3. My river expedition has encouraged me to GROW AS A PERSON.

I feel motivated to continue improving my mental and physical well-being.

4. My river expedition made me feel like a LEADER.

I noticed that people look to me for guidance - following my words and actions.

This experience proved that when faced with a difficult challenge, I have the toughness needed to dig deep and succeed rather than get frustrated and give up.

I have more faith in my ability to use my body to accomplish tasks that require strength.

I now feel like I can speak up for the people or places who need my support - even if it might not be the "popular" or "easy" thing to do.

I feel more self-reliant, capable of overcoming any reasonable challenge that comes my way.

I am more self-aware - I recognize who I am and feel more prepared to share my true self with the world.

As a result of this experience, I am more likely to take actions that will protect and preserve wilderness areas that need my support.

The relationships that I developed with other the kids, leaders, and guides in my group felt strong, genuine, and valuable. I feel like I am part of a community.

12. During my GOALS expedition, I felt less STRESS than I am used to feeling.

My GOALS expedition helped me to understand some of the things that may cause me to feel stressed (comparisons to others and pressure to always succeed), then helped eliminate some of them.

13. During my GOALS expedition, I felt less ANXIETY than I am used to feeling.

My GOALS expedition taught me about some of the things that may cause me to feel anxiety (lack of control, fear of failure), then helped eliminate some of them.

14. During my GOALS expedition, I felt less DEPRESSION than I am used to feeling.

My GOALS expedition taught me about some things that may cause me to feel depressed (a lack of real connections and a sense of isolation), then helped eliminate some of them.
